The African Carbon Alliance: Restoring Zambia’s Lands with Carbon Farming and Climate Action

The African Carbon Alliance is leading Africa’s carbon farming future, starting with 3,000 Zambian farmers and aiming for 180,000 by year three. This movement empowers farmers as climate leaders, advancing both carbon sequestration and ecological restoration in Zambia.

Each farmer receives 200 indigenous, income-generating trees—36 million total—carefully chosen for carbon storage and ecosystem benefits, from soil restoration to enhanced biodiversity.

Our Data, Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (DMRV) platform tracks progress, enabling high-quality carbon credits and real-time insights. Together, we’re building a carbon sink that revitalizes Zambia’s lands, supports rural economies, and contributes meaningfully to global climate solutions.
