About Wellcrop

Soil degradation

For decades, farmers around the world have faced rising input costs, declining soil fertility, and the growing impacts of climate change. Chemical fertilisers have increased yields in the short term but often degrade soil biology over time, leaving farmers trapped in a cycle of increasing costs and diminishing returns.

 Founded For Change

We develop natural, microbial-based soil solutions that work with nature to rebuild soil health, improve crop productivity, and restore resilience to farming systems. Our mission is simple but ambitious: to help farmers grow more while regenerating the land for future generations.

2

Our Journey

Wellcrop brings together biotechnology, regenerative agriculture, and farmer-led innovation to create a new model of farming — one that is profitable, climate-smart, and sustainable.

Our flagship solutions use billions of beneficial microbes that work in harmony with plants and soil ecosystems. These microbes unlock nutrients already present in the soil, strengthen root systems, improve water retention, and enhance plant resilience to drought and stress.

The result is healthier soils, stronger crops, and dramatically reduced reliance on expensive chemical fertilisers.

Farmers using Wellcrop systems can reduce fertiliser costs by up to 50–60% while increasing yields and improving soil fertility over time.

Farmer Success Across Zambia and Malawi

Across Zambia and Malawi, thousands of farmers are adopting Wellcrop regenerative practices through training programmes, demo plots, and cooperative partnerships.

Farmers report:

Higher yields and healthier crops

Reduced fertiliser and input costs

Improved soil structure and fertility

Better resilience during drought periods

In one example from Zambia, a farmer struggling with a failing tomato crop saw a dramatic recovery within just 21 days after applying GrowPro, turning what looked like a failed harvest into a productive one.

Another maize farmer reduced fertiliser costs by more than half while increasing yields by around 30% in a single season, demonstrating the economic power of microbial soil restoration.

Climate-Smart Agriculture

Wellcrop solutions are designed not only to improve farm productivity but also to support climate resilience and environmental restoration.

Our regenerative approach delivers multiple climate-smart benefits:

Restoring soil biology and increasing soil organic matter

Improving water retention and drought tolerance

Eliminating toxic chemical runoff into rivers and ecosystems

Reducing emissions associated with synthetic fertiliser production and transport

Because our products are lightweight and highly concentrated, they also reduce transport emissions and logistics costs compared with conventional fertilisers.

A Pathway to Carbon Farming

Healthy soils are one of the world’s largest natural carbon sinks.

Through regenerative practices such as microbial soil enhancement, composting, agroforestry, and biochar integration, Wellcrop is helping farmers rebuild soil organic carbon while increasing productivity.

These improvements can be measured through digital monitoring and verification systems, opening the door for farmers to participate in carbon credit markets and climate finance programmes that reward sustainable land management.

2

Carbon Sequestration and Climate Resi

This creates new income streams for farmers while contributing to global climate solutions.

Training, Partnerships and Community Impact

We work closely with farmer cooperatives, NGOs, financial institutions, and extension networks to ensure farmers receive not only high-quality inputs but also the training and support they need to succeed.

Through field demonstrations and farmer training days, our programmes act as living classrooms where farmers can see the impact of regenerative practices on soil fertility, drought tolerance, and yields.

The Vision

Our vision is to create a global movement of regenerative farmers.

We believe agriculture can restore landscapes, improve rural livelihoods, and help solve the climate crisis — if farmers have access to the right tools, training, and financial support.

By combining microbial biotechnology, soil regeneration, and climate-smart farming systems, Wellcrop is helping build a future where:

Farmers earn more while spending less on inputs

Soils regain their natural fertility and biodiversity

Communities become more resilient to climate change

Agriculture becomes part of the solution for the planet

Together with our partners and farmers, we are working to regenerate soils, restore ecosystems, and build a thriving agricultural future.
